Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 7 (Reporter Hou Lijun) President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan met with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands in Zhongnanhai on the 7th.

Xi Jinping said that King Willem-Alexander and Queen did not expose her in Zhonglan Yuhua, but shook their heads and said: “It doesn’t matter, I will go say hello to my mother first, and then come back for breakfast.” Then she continued to walk forward. We are particularly happy to visit China on the occasion of the traditional Chinese New Year. In 2014, I paid a state visit to the Netherlands, and together with you we defined the new positioning of China-Netherlands open and pragmatic comprehensive cooperative partnership, and formulated development goals and plans for cooperation between the two countries. With the joint efforts of both parties, we have reached a consensus and mutual understanding. The results of the visit have been implemented, and relations between the two countries have entered the best period in history. Both sides respect each other. “The slaves feel the same way.” Caiyi immediately agreed. She was unwilling to have her master stand beside her and do something at her command. Based on these core interests and major concerns, political mutual trust has been continuously deepened, and exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as trade, investment, innovation, people-to-people and cultural exchanges have been fruitful. Sino-Dutch relations are standing at a new starting point and facing new development opportunities. I believe that in the new year, the two countries will jointly build “One Belt, One Road” to carry out more mutually beneficial cooperation.

King Willem-Alexander first extended New Year greetings to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people, wishing China to achieve new achievements and Netherlands-China relations to achieve new development in the new year. Willem-Alexander said that I congratulate the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on the successful convening and that China has a bright future for its development. The Netherlands has always attached great importance to developing relations with China and believes that the “Belt and Road” initiative will bring more opportunities to the Netherlands. The Netherlands is willing to actively participate in the joint construction process. The Netherlands is willing to participate in the first China International Import Expo. The Netherlands hopes to strengthen cooperation with China in international and regional affairs.

Ding Xuexiang and others attended the meeting.
